Wall Dancing
To use a wall as a dancefloor.
To move like water, while restricted by a harness.
To trust an 11mm rope, 20 metres above the ground....
This is what wall dancing is.
And I've never felt so free.
Earlier this year I joined forces with Michele (Viva Aerial Dance) and Miriam (South West Circus) to create The Wallflowers, and new piece developed and choreographed by the wonderful Lindsey Butcher from Gravity and Levity (UK)
This was a month long exploration and creative development. I have danced with Lindsey in Ireland, but this intense training was absolutely delightful.
We are now on the hunt to find walls and communities to perform this exquisite work to.
And as always, I am up for collaborations too .
Rock faces, silos, gymnasiums, projections . . .
